Bonnes Adresses: Paris Shopping

Shopping

Androuët
37 Rue de Verneuil, 75007
The best place in Paris for those who love cheese—over 200 different selections!

Antoine et Lili
95 Quai de Valmy, 75010
A very boho shop full of irresistible fashions and accessories, located on the very cool Canal SaintMartin.

Azzedine Alaïa
7 Rue de Moussy, 75004
Identified by a small bell on the exterior, the shop interior is fantastic and filled with gorgeous creations in figure-hugging styles.

BHV (Bazar de l’Hôtel de Ville)
52 Rue de Rivoli, 75004
A complete and functional department store in the Marais, just across the street from the Hôtel de Ville, Paris’ city hall. This store has everything you would ever need. The hardware store in the basement alone has more product offerings than a whole Home Depot! This is the only place in Paris where I can find whatever it is I am looking for.

Le Bon Marché
24 Rue de Sèvres, 75007
The oldest department store in Paris—very elegant and the food halls are incredible.

Chanel
31 Rue Cambon, 75001
Headquarters of the Chanel empire where Coco began her atelier; it remains largely similar to the way it was in her time. I make a point to purchase my Coco perfume here.

Charabia
11 Rue Madame, 75006
The ultimate fashion destination for girls and young women. Lena Barenton’s designs are irresistible and favorites of celebrities.

Christian Louboutin
38–40 Rue de Grenelle, 75007
The red leather sole—to own a pair is every woman’s dream!

Colette
213 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001
This is my go-to place to discover trends—a pioneer concept store with carefully selected fashions, shoes, design, books, cosmetics, electronics, jewelry, and accessories.

Comptoir des Cotonniers
124 Rue Vieille du Temple, 75004
Women’s collections that combine modernity with timeless chic in an intimate and luminous atmosphere.

Diptyque
34 Blvd. Saint-Germain, 75005
The best candles in Paris. The figuier scent is my favorite.

Galeries Lafayette
40 Blvd. Haussmann, 75009
The most famous department store in Paris—known best for its gorgeous interior dome. Incredible shopping made up of three huge buildings where you can find most anything. I spend lots of hours, and money, here. There is a fantastic view from its rooftop terrace.

Hermès
24 Rue du Faubourg, Saint-Honoré, 75008
Known for its fabulous leather articles, accessories, silk scarves, and ties, the Kelly and Birkin bags have become cult objects—exquisite interior and design.

La Hune
18 Rue de l’Abbaye, 75006
One of the leading bookstores in Paris. This is a favorite place to meet and to browse for hours. Many of the references I used to write this book were purchased here!

Isabel Marant
16 Rue de Charonne, 75011
One of the best designers in Paris—wearable designs with an ethnic touch. This shop is fantastic.

The Kooples
191 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001
Inspired by men and women borrowing each other’s styles, the clothes here have a unisex feel— always chic and fantastic quality.

Longchamp
404 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001
My favorite brand for beautiful leather accessories— classic, timeless, elegant, and high quality with a deeply rooted equestrian history.

Louis Vuitton
101 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, 75008
Luxury boutique that showcases the splendid fashion and accessories for which the brand is known worldwide.

La Maison du Chocolat
52 Rue François 1er, 75008
The best handmade chocolates—the display windows are full of temptation and the truffles are worth the sin.

Maje
42 Rue du Four, 75006
Slightly quirky and always cutting edge, Maje is feminine and bold, with must-haves each season.

Merci
111 Blvd. Beaumarchais, 75003
A concept store where you can find books, home design, fashion accessories, and espresso.

Les Petites
10 Rue du Four, 75006
The perfect representation of the chic Parisian look with work-appropriate basics and classic takes on runway trends.

Poilane
8 Rue du Cherche-Midi, 75006
The best bread in Paris is baked here—an unforgettable experience.

Printemps Haussmann
64 Blvd. Haussmann, 75009
A beautiful, upscale, grandiose, kitsch department store with a fantastic selection of brands, products, and services. The window displays are incredibly creative.

Sandro
50 Rue Vieille du Temple 75004
Special, feminine, and distinctly French clothes for women—revisited classics with a chic edge for men.

Spree
