We are excited and honored to announce our partnership with famed art collective, Image Republic, and fashion and home goods concept store, Merci.
High-quality prints of Los Angeles and Paris from our Why LA? Pourquoi Paris? collection are readily available for purchase through imagerepublic.com and merci-merci.com. We would like to extend a warm congratulation to author Diane Ratican, illustrator Eric Giriat, and illustrator Nick Lu.
Image Republic represents and features the latest works of art that harken back to a familiar era that evokes a remembering smile. They celebrate “pop culture icons, high-profile personalities, cult objects and labels, creative advertising, legendary TV series, emotional moments, and political satire.” Image Republic strives to promote these lasting themes into every carefully curated piece of art. Words that are often used to describe Image Republic’s collective are passionate, spirited, uncommon, powerful, and striking. The Why LA? Pourquoi Paris? collection is one of 18 represented by the brand, along with the likes of Paulo Mariotte, The New Yorker, The Parisianer, and Soledad. We couldn’t be happier of our partnership with the Parisian collective, which has featured one hundred artists who have best exemplified the spirit of Paris.
We are thrilled that Merci, a Parisian concept store, is featuring our Image Republic prints in an exhibit called Souvenir of Paris. Created in 2009 in the historic district of Haut-Marais, Merci was created to “bring together the best of the world of fashion, of design, of household goods with welcome refreshment areas.” A breath of fresh air, Merci carefully curates goods on an international level and features artists and designers from all over the world. Not only does Merci represent artists that capture the essence of Paris, but a portion of proceeds go towards educational projects and development in southwest Madagascar. We are honored to be included in their Souvenier of Paris exhibit, which features artwork ranging from prints to household goods, all centered around celebrating the beautiful City of Lights.
“Merci has transformed itself into a souvenir shop crammed with quirky, cheeky items, guides, out-of-the-ordinary books, notepads, postcards and the like, to give people a glimpse of the Paris they don’t usually notice, never find or would never guess was there!”
